Abstract

Health workers, especially nurses, are on the front line who are most vulnerable to Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). Nurses who treat (COVID-19) often have direct contact with patients which causes anxiety. The anxiety rate for nurses who treat (COVID-19) in Indonesia is 75% with a varying distribution in each province. Nurse anxiety in handling (COVID-19) can be related to several factors. This study aims to determine the Factors Associated with Nurse Anxiety in the Room (COVID-19) Level III Hospital Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang in 2021. Analytical Descriptive research design carried out in the (COVID-19) Level III Hospital Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang conducted in March-Oktober 2021. Sampling was carried out with a total sampling of 40 people. Data processing was computerized through the univariate analysis stage, namely descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distribution, and bivariate analysis using chi-square with a 95% confidence stage. The results of the analysis showed that 54.8% of respondents experienced moderate levels of anxiety, 47.6% of respondents had poor knowledge, 54.8% of respondents had good family support and 54.8% of respondents had good self-efficacy. There is a relationship between knowledge and anxiety levels in nurses with p-value = 0.000, there is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels in nurses with p-value = 0.000 and there is a relationship between knowledge and anxiety levels in nurses with p-value = 0.000. Through the Head of Level III Hospital, Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang hopes that nurses who work in the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Room will be given more frequent training on how to reduce nurses' anxiety.
