ANALISIS HUBUNGAN PERKEMBANGAN PSIKOSOSIAL DENGAN PERILAKU MINUM ALKOHOL PADA REMAJA DI SMAN 2 LUBUK SIKAPING PASAMAN TAHUN 2022

Abstract

Based on the statement of satpol PP Pasaman Regency, SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping has found many cases of drinking behavior in teenagers. From preliminary survey data conducted on 10 adolescents, 6 of whom answered drinking alcohol, while the psychosocial development of 10 adolescents, 6 adolescents said that they could not adapt to their emotional changes tended to be irritable, anxious, and even desperate and 4 more teenagers answered that they could control their emotional changes. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between psychosocial development and drinking behavior in adolescents at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping in 2022.

The type of research is quantitative and analytical description design with a cross-sectional approach carried out at SMA N 2 Lubuk Sikaping in February-August 2022. The population was class XI-XII adolescents in SMA N 2 Lubuk Sikaping, a sample of 77 adolescents. Data is processed by editing, coding, entry, and cleaning steps. Univariate data analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test.

The results of the study were half (50.6%) of respondents had abnormal psychosocial development, more than half (59.7%) of respondents had alcohol drinking behavior. There was a significant association between psychosocial development and alcohol drinking behavior (p value = 0.000).

The results of this study have found out that there is a relationship between psychosocial development and alcohol drinking behavior. It is hoped that the School of SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping can supervise and provide counseling services to adolescents and hold more positive activities so that adolescents can avoid deviant behavior, such as drinking alcohol, as well as providing counseling about the negative effects of drinking alcohol behavior.
