HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN SKABIES PADA SANTRI TSANAWIYAH DI PONDOK PESANTREN DARUSSALAM DHARMASRAYA

Abstract

Data on the results of the student health examination in December 2021 was obtained by 103 students who suffered from scabies at the Darussalam Dharmasraya Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with scabies prevention behavior in Tsanawiyah students at the Darussalam Dharmasraya Islamic Boarding School in 2022. This research is Descriptive Analytic with a Cross Sectional Study approach which will be carried out from April to September 2022. The population in this study was 373 students and students of tsanawiyah class VIII-IX and a sample of 77 students. Data collection tools in the form of questionnaires, data are processed computerized using the Chi Square test. The results of the study obtained more than half (54.5%) of respondents were not good in scabies prevention behavior. More than half (53.2%) of respondents with low knowledge. More than half (51.9%) of respondents with a bad attitude. There is a relationship between knowledge and scabies prevention behavior (p value 0.000) and attitudes with scabies prevention behavior (p value 0.000). The results of this study can be used as a consideration for islamic boarding schools to further improve the behavior of preventing scabies in students by providing education such as PHBS training related to scabies and other skin diseases. In addition, it is necessary to make a regular schedule of cleaning the entire cottage environment to stop the spread of scabies.
