PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TEKNIK RELAKSASI OTOT PROGRESIF TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA LANSIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI DI PSTW SABAI NAN ALUIH SICINCIN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure high pressure systolic more than 140 mmHg, and pressure diastolic more than 90 mmHg. According to WHO (2017) in all over word around 972 million people or 26,4% person in world suffer from hypertension. Data in PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Tahun 2019 is obtained eldery wit hypertension wit total 28 person. Pupose research this is for knowing influence giving progressive muscle relaxation techniques to decrease pressure blood on eldery wit hypertension in PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Padang Pariaman. Thype research is quasy experiment with design one garoup pretest and posttest. Research held in PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin on month February to Oktober 2019. Population is eldery with hypertension in PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin is sample 10 person. The result showing calue average pressure blood before do progressive muscle relaxation techniques 163/92 mmHg, and after was given progressive muscle relaxation techniques 141/83 mmHg. The results test paired T-test is obtained value P-value 0,000 means it there is influence giving progressive muscle relaxation techniques to decrease pressure blood on eldery with hypertension. Is expected progressive muscle relaxation techniquesthis could included into the program PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin as treatment technique non pharmacology that could give out effect positive for decrease pressure blood.
