HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI LANSIA TENTANG POSYANDU LANSIA DAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KUNJUNGAN KE POSYANDU LANSIA DI JORONG TABEK PATAH WILAYAH KERJA UPT PUSKESMAS SALIMPAUNG I KABUPATEN TANAH DATAR

Abstract

The increasing number of elderly population causes an increase in the need for health services for the elderly. Therefore, the elderly posyandu is needed to monitor the health of the elderly, while the percentage of elderly visits in Jorong Tabek Patah is very low (10-15%) every month. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the perception of the elderly about the elderly Posyandu and family support for visits to the Posyandu for the elderly in the Tabek Patah working area of ​​the UPT Puskesmas Salimpaung I, Tanah Datar District in 2016. The method of this study was descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. The population in this study is the elderly who visited the Posyandu Jorong Tabek Patah from March 2015-February 2016 as many as 62 people, and as many as 40 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. Statistical tests using the chi square test with a significant level (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority (82.5%) of elderly inactive visits, more than half (57.5%) of the elderly had poor perceptions and more than half (65%) of the elderly had poor family support. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the perception of the elderly towards visits to the elderly posyandu with P value = 0.001 and there was a relationship between family support for visits to the elderly posyandu with P value = 0.039. The results of this study are expected to provide input for health centers to be able to improve services and increase education about the importance of posyandu for the elderly and various matters relating to health problems in the service of posyandu for the elderly and families are expected to further increase the care or attention given to the elderly by sending the elderly to elderly Posyandu and provide information about elderly Posyandu
