GAMBARAN PERILAKU SISWA KELAS V SDN 11 LUBUK BUAYA PADANG TENTANG KESELAMATAN PENYEBERANGAN DIJALAN RAYA

Abstract

SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya’s Padang is an elementary school located on Adinegoro Street, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra. Based on a survey conducted there were two students who had an accident while crossing the road to school and 10 other people had an accident at the railroad crossing in 2017. The purpose of this study was to look at the description of the behavior of students at SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya Padang About Safety in the 2018 Highway. This research was conducted from January to August 2018, is descriptive with a sample of 29 people, primary data obtained from the results of questionnaires and observations and secondary data obtained from the school. Data were analyzed univariately and presented in a frequency distribution table. The results showed that students of SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya Padang had low knowledge, namely 55.17%, positive attitude 65.52%, and good actions 62.06% in crossing road safety. Suggestions for schools to increase frequency and material and simulations regarding personal safety, especially in crossing roads, holding safety programs for children as extracurricular activities and also expected coordination and communication with parents of students to support safety programs for children in the environment school and family.
