HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN ORANG TUA DENGAN STATUS KECEMASAN ANAK UMUR 6-12 TAHUN PASCA BENCANA GEMPA & ISU TSUNAMI DI SDN 20 KURAO BEROK RAKIK

Abstract

Based on data from the Kepulauan Mentawai education service recorded 4,234 school-age children in Wilayah Kepulauan Mentawai. 62 children of elementary school age have died. The initial survey at SDN 20 Kurao Berok Rakik, of 10 students, 50% said they often woke up at night, 40% of students were afraid to go to school and found it difficult to concentrate on learning, and 10% of students cried immediately. Samples were taken by simple random sampling by drawing 85 people. The sample was taken by the questionnaire. The results showed that the support of parents in the unfavorable category was 52.9%, anxiety in the anxiety category was 50.6%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a relationship between parental support and anxiety levels of children aged 6-12 years at SDN 20 Kurao Berok Rakik after the Mentawai tsunami disaster and the issue of p = 0,000. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that more than half of parents support is not good and more than half of children are worried. It is also hoped that the school can pay attention to students so they are not worried about the state of the earthquake by providing information to students about the earthquake, training students for evacuation routes so students can run away from the risk of earthquake or tsunami
