HUBUNGAN STIGMA MASYARAKAT DENGAN KECEMASAN PADA LGBT DI YAYASAN TARATAK JIWA HATI PADANG

Abstract

Yayasan Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang the number of LGBT in January-June 2018 there were 712 people while in July-December 2018 there was an increase with a number of 950 people. With the presence of LGBT groups, bad prejudices and negative perceptions of people towards LGBT arise and cause anxiety and ostracized. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of community stigma with anxiety on LGBT Yayasan Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang.The design of this research was analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The study was conducted from February to September The sample is 30 respondents. Measuring instruments using a questionnaire. Data is processed by editing, coding, entry, and cleaning. Univariate analysis uses the mean and bivariate analysis uses the chi square test.The results showed that some LGBT experienced 60% anxiety, and most LGBT received negative stigma from the community 53.3%. Chi square test results (pvalue = 0.457) found that there was no significant relationship between the relationship of community stigma with anxiety in LGBT Yayasan Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang.Through the chairman of the Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang this research can educate LGBT about sexsual behavior such asproviding counseling about the effects of sexsual behavior and avoiding community stigma.
