PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS ANTARA AIR REBUSAN DAUN SALAM DENGAN AIR REBUSAN SELEDRI TERHADAP LANSIA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI
Abstract
Hypertension can be interpreted by a persistent increase in arterial blood pressure. Hypertension is also often called The silent killer (silent killer) because it is symptomatic. Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease is the biggest death disease and disability in the elderly especially aged 65 and above. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of bay leaf cooking water with celery cooking water for the elderly with hypertension. This type of research is experimental design with pre-post test with control group, to 15 elderly with treatment given bay leaf cooking water and celery cooking water. The results showed that there was a difference in the effectiveness of bay leaf cooking water and celery cooking water in reducing diastolic blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension, where celery cooking water was more effective with a p-value difference of 0.001 than bay leaf cooking water. However, if it is seen that the significance tends to be the same so that it cannot be concluded that a significant difference between bay leaf cooking water and celery cooking water, then bay leaf cooking water and celery cooking water can be used both to reduce blood pressure in the elderly with mild hypertension.
