Abstract

Complications of pregnancy and childbirth as the highest cause of maternal death and can be prevented through antenatal care (ANC) regularly. Based on data from Pariaman Community Health Center in 2017, visits decreased, K1 coverage was 92.4%. Visit target of 99%. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between age with Antenatal care (ANC) Visit 1 in Karan Aur Village, the work area of ​​Pariaman Health Center, Kota Pariaman in 2018. This research is analytic using cross sectional method. The study was conducted in Karan Aur Village, Pariaman Health Center working area in October 2018. The population of 45 pregnant women, obtained a sample of 34 people. Independent variables were age, knowledge, dependent variable Antenatal Care visit. The results of this study showed that 88.9% of respondents were at risk, , 53.3% of respondents did not complete antenatal care visits. There was no relationship between age and Antenatal Care (ANC) visit, p value 1.000. Knowing the significant relationship between the relationship with prenatal knowledge and Antenatal Care visit 1, health workers must increase counseling to pregnant women about Antenatal Care visits.
