HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP SUAMI PASANGAN USIA SUBUR DENGAN KESEDIAAN MENJADI AKSEPTOR VASEKTOMI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS NANGGALO

Abstract

The participation of men in family planning in Indonesia is still very low. In the city of Padang, the number of PUS 29,016 who do not want to have another child is 5.83%. While 0.35% of PUS had become acceptors, it was known the frequency distribution of the husband's willingness to be acceptors. This type of research is analytical descriptive using cross-sectional study method. This research was conducted from November to April in the Nanggalo region with a population of all husbands of PUS 1745, a sample of 95 women of PUS. Data were collected using a questionnaire then the data were analyzed to determine the frequency distribution of the variables and to determine the relationship between variables and processed using computerization. Based on the univariate analysis, it can be concluded that of the 95 husbands of PUS, 69 (72.6%) of the husbands were willing to not participate, the husband's knowledge level was still low with 58 people (61.1%) and the husband's attitude regarding positive vasectomy family planning 63 people (66.3%). And from the bivariate analysis with the statistical test (chi-square test) showing the pvaleu value of 0.003, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the willingness of the husband to become a vasectomy acceptor and there was a significant relationship between the attitude of the husband of PUS and the willingness to accept vasectomy acceptors, with p valeu. 0.010. The Puskesmas leaders are encouraged to participate more in the promotion of male vasectomy family planning and provide leaflets to support the success of male vasectomy family planning.
