FAKTOR RISIKO PENYALAHGUNAAN NAPZA PADA NARAPIDANA DI LEMBAGA PERMASYARAKATAN KELAS II PADANG

Abstract

Drug abuse ranks 10th in developing countries. According to the National Narcotics Agency (2019), drug abuse in Asia is 9.3%-14.8%, at the West Sumatra BNNP in 2018 there were 381 cases of drug abuse. While in Class II A Padang Prison there are 914 prisoners, with the highest cases of drug abuse as many as 73.7%, namely 674 people. This study aims to determine risk factors of drug abuse to prisoners at the Class II A Correctional Institution Padang. This research is analytical descriptive with a cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all prisoners who used drugs and 61 of them as a sample. Data collection tools in the form of a questionnaire, the data is processed computerized using the Chi Square test. The results showed that less than half (47.5%) of prisoners with severe drug abuse, more than half (54.1%) of prisoners with family conditions that were not conducive, more than half (59.0%) influential peers and more than half (59.0%) of influential peers. half (67.2%) of prisoners with poor housing locations. There is a relationship between family condition and drug abuse (p value 0.000), peer factor with drug abuse (p value 0.011) and location of residence factor with drug abuse (p value 0.014). Through the leadership of the Class II A Correctional Institution, Padang can increase useful activities in order to fill free time with useful things to prevent ongoing drug abuse so that abusers can control themselves not to use drugs.
