HUBUNGAN RESPON PSIKOLOGIS DAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN HIV DI YAYASAN TARATAK JIWA HATI PADANG

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019, the largest HIV-infected population in the world was Africa (25.7 million people), Southeast Asia (3.8 million people/78%) and America (3.5 million people). by 2020 38 million people worldwide are HIV-positive. Data on HIV cases in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, reaching 50,282 cases. West Sumatra Province data on the number of HIV cases in 2019 as many as 474 people (Ministry of Health 2020). While at the Taratak Jiwa Hati Foundation, there were 736 people. This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological and family support on the quality of life of HIV patients at the Taratak Jiwa Hati Foundation, Padang. Analytical Survey research design with Cross Sectional design. This study was conducted at the Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang Foundation from January to May 2021. The population of all patients with terminal illness was 157 people. The research sample was 47 people. Quality of life was measured using the WHOQOL-BREF with 26 questions. The data is processed by editing, coding, entry, and cleaning steps. Univariate analysis using frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square. The results of this study showed that the quality of life was not good as much as 48.9%, family support was not good as much as 32.6%, psychological was not good as much as 42.6%. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between psychology and quality of life and there was a significant relationship between family support and quality of life. It is recommended through the leadership of the Taratak Jiwa Hati Padang give provide information related to HIV regularly for 1x a month so that HIV patients know how to prevent it quickly so they don't get AIDS.
