HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIS YANG MENJALANI TERAPI HEMODIALISA DI SEMEN PADANG HOSPITAL
Abstract
Haemodialysis is one of the medical treatment for chronic kidneys disease patients that affect the quality of life of patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and medication adherence with the quality of life of CKD patients who having haemodialysis. This was a cross sectional study that conducted at Semen Padang Hospital in March 2021 with a sample of 40 patients. Data were collected using WHOQOL-BREF, MSPSS and MMAS questionnaires. Statistic of Chi-Square was used to explored the relationships between the variables. The results showed 35% of the patients had poor quality of life, 12,5% of patients perceived lack of social support, and 55% of patients have poor medication adherence. There were significant relationships between social support ( p-value = 0.043) and medication adherence (p-value = 0.046 ) and quality of life of CKD patients who having haemodialysis. It is recommended to the nurses to motivate family members of the patient to be able to provide social support and always remind the patient chronic kidney disease to taking the medicine regularly.
