PENGARUH PEMBERIAN OLES MADU TERHADAP AUTOLISIS JARINGAN NEKROTIK LUKA DIABETIKUM PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS ANDALAS PADANG

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus ranks 6th as a cause of death. The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in all Padang City Health Centers in 2020 was 18,973 people with a percentage of 34% experiencing diabetic wounds. Andalas Public Health Center, the highest incidence of Diabetes Mellitus in all public health centers in the city of Padang was 1312 people and diabetic wounds were 63 people. The purpose of the study was to see the effect of applying honey on autolysis of necrotic tissue in diabetic wounds. A quasi-experimental study with a one group pretest-pottest design, a sample of 10 people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The results obtained were the effect of applying honey on autolysis of necrotic tissue in diabetic wounds with a p-value of 0.000. The application of honey on diabetes mellitus wounds can be used as an alternative therapy in accelerating the wound healing process in patients with diabetes mellitus wounds.
