GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU-IBU PEDAGANG TENTANG PEMBERIAN ASI PADA BAYI UMUR 1-24 BULAN DI KELURAHAN KAMPUNG JAO (PASAR RAYA PADANG)
Abstract
Mother's Milk (ASI) is a fat emultion in protein, lactose and inorganic salt salts secreted by the mother's breastmilk, and useful as baby food. ASI coverage in Indonesia is 54% of the total infants aged 1-24 months. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the traders' mothers knowledge and attitudes about giving breast milk to 1-24 months old infants in Kampung Jao Village (Raya Raya Padang) in 2018. This study was carried out in the Working Area of Padang Pasir Health Center, Kampung Jao Village (Market Raya Padang) in August 2018. the type of research is descriptive. research population mothers who have toddlers in the work area of Padang Pasir Kelurah Health Center Kampung Jao (Pasar Raya Padang) in 2018. The sampling technique was carried out by accidental sampling data collection using questionnaires by means of interviews which were filled directly by researchers. (43.3%) mothers who have low knowledge and less than half (46.7%) mothers have a negative attitude about breastfeeding in infants. From the results of the study it can be concluded that more than half of mothers who have negative knowledge and attitudes about breastfeeding in infants in the Working Area of the Sand Dunes Puskesmas in Kampung Jao Village (Pasar Raya Padang). For this reason it is expected that health workers, especially midwives, need to increase the interest of the mother to give breast milk to her baby, and convince the mother to give breast milk to the baby.
