PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN PRE OPERASI TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN PASIEN PRE OPERASI APENDIKTOMI DI RUANG RAWAT INAP BEDAH RSUD SOLOK SELATAN

Abstract

Appendicitis rate in the world reaches 3,442 million cases each year where 90% of preoperative patients experience anxiety. A survey conducted in RSUD South Solok on March 20-22, 2017 from 10 patiens to be performed appendictomy surgery 8 of which experienced anxiety. Thepurposeof this study to determine the effect of pre-operative health education on the anxiety level of patients pre-operative appendictomy in the surgical hospital surgery RSUD SouthSolok. This type of research is experimental quasi with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at the hospital surgery hospital of RSUD South Solokfrom March 2017 until September 2017. The population in this study were all patients to be performed surgery. Sample as many as 17 people with sampling technique that is purposive sampling. Data is analyzed by using t dependent test. The results showed that the average anxiety level of respondents before preoperative health education was 3.588 with a standard deviation of 0.507. While the average level of anxiety of respondents after pre-operative health education is 2.647 with a standard deviation of 0.606. The mean difference between anxiety levels before pretest and posttest health was 0.941 with a standard deviation of 0.242, p = 0,000. It is known there is a contribution characteristic of respondent to anxiety level of patient pre operation appendictomy. It is expected that South Solok RSUD nurse can improve service by giving pre operation pre health education before doing surgery actionSo as to decrease the anxiety level of patients preoperative appendictomy.
